What it is like

Jungle hills, quiet beaches and a large wellness and yoga community. Haad Rin is busy at party times. Costs are mid-range, but everything shipped to the island costs more.

Getting around

A scooter is the norm. Ferries run from Thong Sala to Koh Samui and the mainland.
